The Indian government established HMT as a machine tool manufacturer in 1953. Over time, HMT Tractor continued to develop, branching out into other products like tractors, watches, metal forming presses, die casting and plastic processing equipment, CNC systems, etc. In agricultural fields, HMT Tractors are renowned for their exceptional performance, longevity, and fuel efficiency. In India, the price of an HMT tractor ranges from Rs. 3 lakhs* to Rs. 7 lakhs* in 2023. Tractor business at HMT started with a technical partnership with M/s MOTOKOV, Czechoslovakia. At its manufacturing facility in Pinjore, Haryana state, HMT Tractors began production of 25 HP tractors. These days, HMT tractors provide tractors with 25 to 75 horsepower.
